Understanding Multi-Color Printing on 30cm Balloons
Learn the technical requirements for printing multiple colors on our 30cm latex balloons. We'll explain the 3-5mm gap rule and how our printing process works to deliver crisp, professional logos.

How Our Printing Process Works
Our screen printing process is designed to deliver crisp, professional logos on your 30cm latex balloons. Here's what happens during production:
Inflate to 70%
Balloons are inflated to approximately 70% of their full capacity to create a stable printing surface.
Screen Print Each Color
Each color is applied separately using our screen printing equipment, with precise spacing between colors.
Deflate to Normal Size
After printing, balloons are deflated back to normal size, ready for packaging and delivery.
Your Print Area: 140mm²
On a 30cm latex balloon, you have approximately 140 square millimeters of usable print area. This is your canvas for your logo or design.
This size is ideal for corporate logos, brand names, and simple graphics. The key is keeping your design bold and clear—fine details and thin lines may not reproduce as well.
Pro Tip
Think of your print area like a business card on a balloon. Simple, bold logos work best and reproduce with the highest quality.

Why the 3-5mm Gap?
When printing multiple colors, we must maintain a minimum gap of 3 to 5 millimeters between each color. This gap is essential for several reasons.
The Challenge
When balloons are inflated to 70% during printing, they shift and move slightly as each color is applied. The gap accommodates this natural movement and prevents colors from bleeding together.
Prevents colors from bleeding or overlapping
Accounts for 70% inflation during printing
Ensures crisp, clean color separation
Delivers professional, high-quality results
Maximum Four Colors
Our screen printing equipment is optimized for up to four colors per design. This limit ensures the best quality and fastest turnaround for your order.
Quality Control
Four colors allow us to maintain strict quality standards and ensure perfect color registration.
Production Efficiency
Four-color designs allow us to process orders quickly without sacrificing quality.
Cost Effective
Four colors provide excellent coverage for most corporate logos and designs.
Versatility
Most corporate logos and designs fit comfortably within a four-color specification.
Design Guidelines for Success
Keep It Simple
Bold, clear logos work best. Avoid thin lines, fine details, or intricate designs that may not reproduce well at 140mm² size.
Maintain the 3-5mm Gap
Never place colors closer than 3mm apart in your artwork. This gap is your design's safety margin and ensures professional results.
Stick to Four Colors Maximum
Most logos fit perfectly within four colors. If you're unsure, contact our team for a design review before ordering.
Request a Digital Proof
Always request a digital proof before production. This lets you see exactly how your design will look on the balloon.
